상세 내용

기존 Windows 2019 OS가 설치된 하드웨어에 ESXi overwrite 설치 시 해당 경고문과 함께 Install이 실패할 수 있다.

파티션에 문제가 있어 overwrite가 안되는 상황으로 보이며 구글링 해보니 DELL이나 UCS 장비에서 종종 발생한 사례가 있는 것으로 보인다.

 

 

 

해결책

하드웨어 엔지니어를 통해 RAID를 재구성했더니 Install이 깔끔하게 실행되었다. (BIOS 진입 필요, 기존 데이터는 모두 손실)

 

만약 이렇게 했는데도 안될 경우에는

Windows를 다시 새로 설치한 후에 ESXi를 덮어 설치할 예정이었는데

아무래도 해결된 RAID 포맷 방식이 더 빠르고 안전한 것으로 보인다.
